Wednesday, July 23, 2008 Law Review Class, 10-5 MFDEA Office, Jefferson City, MO Contact MFDEA at (573) 635-1661 for reservations.  Each month, MFDEA provides a review class designed to help prepare prospective funeral directors for the Missouri Funeral Service Law Exam Test. This Law Test covers funeral directing laws, licensing, embalming, preneed sales, OSHA requirements and FTC rules. The cost is $130 and inculdes a study guide and practice tests designed to help your retention and recolection. Participants who are not currently licensed also recieve a free one-year student membership in the MFDEA. Over the past three years, the Law Exam Review class has been extremely popular and successful with participants in the class having a much higher passing rate on the Law Exam than non-participants.  In addition, should you take the class and fail to pass the state law exam, you can retake the review class free of charge as many times as you wish. Beginning October 2007 Starting in Ocotober 2007, the State Law Exam test will no longer be given in Jefferson City once a month. Instead, the test will be done via computer in St. Louis, Kansas City, Springfield and Columbia, Missouri. Since individuals can take the test on the day they wish (after they have qualified, registered and paid) there in no need to take the review class in Jefferson City the day before the test and spend the night in town as most people do now. Therefore, we will be taking the Review Class on the road. This way more people will have access to the class and people can take the class and the test when it is convienent. They do not need to be tied together.
